God of the detail
“By the word of the Lord the heavens were made, And all the host of them by the breath of His mouth.“

Psalm 33:6
It snowed today in Charlotte North Carolina. It's a big deal because this area gets snow every few years. As it was snowing, I took a moment and grabbed my gloves to step outside to check out the spectacle.
I held out my hand, shivering and cold when I noticed a single snowflake land in the palm of my glove. I then observed that this singular snowflake had a unique design to it. It tripped me out because the only "snowflake" I have comes from the pictures and decorations I see during the December holiday season. And from what I recall, the snowflakes in the decorations have a specific, yet unique design. This snowflake which gracefully landed in the palm of my glove had a unique design as well. It almost looked unreal. It had order to it. It had structure, dimensions, and detail. And to think that something as simple as frozen water particles could form into something like this blows my mind.
I noticed the detail in it and just thought about how creative and intentional God is. God, being the creator of all things designed the heavens, the earth, and even this small snowflake with detail and intentionality.
This same God, in all His wisdom, creativity, and intentionality also knows us by our name. He not only knows us by our name, but by the number of hairs located on the crown of our head.
When life throws a curveball, and when events pan out in ways we could have never imagined, I want you to remember the intentionality of God. Every detail of your life will not go to waste. Both the good and the ugly will serve you in ways that will ultimately work out for your good.
When you feel overlooked, counted out, or unworthy, know that God sees and knows you. Where can you run from His presence? He's always there, even in the detail.
